First and foremost, the information collected via any form submission on this website, which may include any contact information such as your email address, is considered private and confidential. It is not sold or given to any parties except those who may be involved with the organization of a class reunion. It may however be used by the webmaster of this site for reasons only pertaining to alumni news, such as our newsletter and any unsolicited email will contain an opt-out option giving you the opportunity to not even receive that email.
This site does not currently make use of "cookies". I do not gather any information that is not voluntarily supplied by the visitor other than your IP address and browser version information, which is gathered when any form on the site is submitted. This information is used solely to help diagnose problems with our server, review compatibility issues and to administer the Web site.
Our site's registration form does not require users to give contact information. All fields, except for your name, class year and state are strictly voluntary. Summaries of the general demographics of this information may be used at a later date to provide possible sponsors with information regarding the location and type of visitor their ads may be seen by, but this information is not attached to any individual users.
This site contains links to other sites and Kurt Weiss, d.b.a KW Productions will not be held responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites. This also includes any responsibility regarding the products and/or services that any other site may offer, including, but not limited to those sites listed within our "Alumni Links" page. The act of using this sites warrants that you agree to these terms.
Photographs - Photographs are used in certain areas of the web site. For the most part, these pictures are obtained from the individual requesting that the photo be placed on the site. Another source of photos include our yearbooks which are public information available at the library, along with photos that are taken during numerous gatherings, such as our alumni luncheons. If you do not wish to have a photo appear on the web site (that is already there), use the Choice/Opt-Out information below to have it removed. If a picture of you has been posted without your consent, such as being part of a group picture, it too may be removed by making a request as per the Choice/Opt-Out procedure.
No part of this site is currently password protected. There are no registration forms required to enter the site, nor is there any means to verify who has visited us other than the voluntary forms which have already been mentioned or via web server reports which do not include any specific identifying information.
3rd Party use/misuse of information:
Although I make every effort to ensure the privacy of our visitors by not giving out or selling any information I receive, the web site is public in that it does not require a membership nor a password to be viewed. As such, I can not and will not be held responsible for any 3rd party that may choose to collect the information which is publicly posted on the web site and in doing so, use it to provide their own means of contacting you. However, should I discover in the future that there are individuals who are using our lists for their own purposes I may have to revert to hiding or removing all email address listings from the site and set up a procedure where if you wish to contact someone the email must first go through my server to be forwarded. This is something which I strongly hope to avoid as it diminishes the original intent of the web site along with removing the entire process of being a community. Alternate measures may be considered such as the requiring of registration before access to the site is given, in which case, after such registration is received, an individual sign-on name and password would be required to enter the site.
Final Comments
The policies, procedures and content of this web are at the sole discretion of its owner and webmaster, Kurt Weiss. However, the factors I use to determine these policies are guided by the comments I receive from those who participate in the site itself. Additionally, as the web master, I shall also retain the right to remove any posted comments in whole or part that I decide are inappropriate (such as foul language) or I may make such a decision based on the feedback from visitors.
