Recently heard about John O'Malley passing and think its should be posted in memoriam. We lost touch and I consider that a loss. He was a great person. We were the baritone section and we were loud and proud! John, Steve and myself. I met him on my Little League team.I'll never forget the fun we had.

Hello to all.
First, to Beverly. Thanks for keeping in touch with everyone... even those who do not keep in touch back (like myself). I swore at the last reunion I was going to keep in touch and..... well you know the rest.
Kurt.. I hope you are doing better. Time is the best healing medicine. Rest and get stronger and the rest will follow.
To all my fellow classmates... I think of you so often. I took a bike ride with my wife up colonial blvd about a month ago and my childhood rushed back. I can't tell you how great that was. I told my wife I still feel like a kid... she reminded me I still act like one... sometimes.
I hope you are all in good health and are happy.

Firstly, we wish for continuing improvement for Kurt's health. Indeed, he has been a wonderful webmaster and we do appreciate his work.
It is with sadness that we recieved news that Ken Langran, '52, passed away at home on September 20, 2008 of an apparent heart attack. There will be a military funeral in his honor but final plans are pending. Ken was an integral member of our Northwestern group and will be missed. |

Today of course is 9/11 and we should remember those that perished on this day 7 years ago, including a couple of Westwood Alums. Let's remember all of those by driving our cars with our headlights on, as I have done that every year. 10 years ago on this date, I was in Sioux Falls, South Dakota competing in the South Dakota Governor's Cup Chess Championship, and I defeated one of the top players in the country in Grandmaster, Alexander Ivanov, and that could be the game of my life. OK....I have to admit it.....I am having nightmares about my
posted photo (the one on the top) where i look like a chipmunk!
I feel like the part in "Father Of The Bride II" as Franc drove to the hospital and the line was...
"Hey man,Whats with that face?" as the teens in the car beside
them said and Steve Martin's face was smooshed into the passenger window and he was passed out from Franc's sleeping pills !!!
